Bellavista is a charming villa located on a panoramic hill surrounded
by olive trees and in central location to visit Tuscany countryside and
the most famous cities as well as the coast. The white sandy beaches of
Tuscany coast are about 30 minutes driving. Pisa is about 40 minutes
driving. The villa is air conditioned on first floor and is the ideal
location for families with small children that can play in the large,
safe very well kept manicured garden with panoramic pool. The villa is
well equipped and offers comfort, like air co , internet acess, windows
screen . Manicured well kept Garden equipped with garden furniture,
pergola for dinner al fresco and barbecue. The villa is on 2 floors:
groundfloor the large living area with open kitchen - full equipped

| Casciana
Terme is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian
region Tuscany, located about 60 km southwest of Florence and about 30
km southeast of Pisa. Casciana Terme borders the following
municipalities: Chianni, Lari, Lorenzana, Santa Luce, and Terricciola.
The closest airports are Pisa and Florence.
Florence Airport (Amerigo Vespucci) is served by around forty domestic
and international flights each day connecting with all major Italian
airports and 13 European destinations: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels,
Bucharest, Frankfurt, Geneva, London Gatwick, Madrid, Monaco, Paris,
Timisoara, Tirana and Vienna.The airport is located 4km north-west of
Florence, in the direction of Prato. The local companies SITA and ATAF
run a bus service between the airport and Santa Maria Novella Station.
Pisa's international Airport (Galileo Galilei) is the most important in
Tuscany: it links the city with major Italian and European destinations
which is served by budget airlines Ryanair, Easyjet and Thomsonfly from
a range of UK regional airports.The airport of Pisa is connected to
Pisa Central Station by many routes, among which there are eight direct
trains from the airport of Florence. There is also a shuttle coach
service run by Terravision from Pisa Airport to Florence (Santa Maria
Novella Station). The journey takes 70 minutes.
By Train
Several trains in the day travel to Pontedera-Casciana Terme station
from Florence and Pisa.
By Car
To get here take the A1, A11 or A12. Exit at Florence, Pisa, Livorno,
Pontedera or Ponsacco. Follow direction to reach Casciana.
Casciana, gently sitting on the lovely Pisan hills, appears like a
splendid, unexpected masterpiece. A small village, traditional Tuscan
houses in the sun, with stunning views in a green and tranquil setting
and a wonderful hidden treasure: it's Water. Arriving in Casciana, your
eyes are filled by the colors and views, the scent of fresh air mixing
with wild flowers and pines. The pace of life, slow and harmonious,
rests the spirit. There's a sensation of arriving in a magical place
where time has stopped in the 19th century. Made popular in the 19th
century, the Terme di Casciana is covered in pine trees and wild
flowers. This is an old town and dotted with ancient towers and trails,
little churches and woods. Everyday nearly 6 million liters of water
goes round the baths and pools of village.
There is evidence of people, both young and old alike, coming here for
the thermal water since the early 12th century to cure respiratory and
rheumatic problems.
The Thermal Source
It was known before of 1100 A.D. It was visited and renovated by the
Countess Matilde of Canossa and remembered for the legendary tale of
the blackbird healed by the water. Rising through the earth at a
temperature of 36C, Casciana Terme's water has always been considered
one of the healthiest thermal waters in Italy and it has been studied
and analysed by famous doctors and chemists for its exceptional
therapeutic properties.

| Dear
Sabrina We had a wonderful time at Villa Bellavista. The house was
perfect for our needs and we especially enjoyed the outside space,
garden and pool area. Casciana itself was very nice but very quiet
although we enjoyed lovely meals at Il Merlo, La Carabaccia and Bistrot
Beni. One night when we were unable to get a table at any of the other
restaurants, Anthony at the Grande Cafe made us most welcome and cooked
us a lovely meal although I don't think they normally offer food in the
evening. We very much appreciated his charm and friendly manner. Thank
you for the information and help you gave us in organising our holiday.
We never did meet Enzo but Franco was very pleasant. Regards Sandra
