Romantic cottage in Tuscany, Ideal for families with children.
Sunflower is a modern cottage with private pool, just renewed and
tastely furnished. It’s conveniently located in the heart of Tuscany in
a tranquil, rural, Chianti hills setting between Foiano della Chiana
and Cortona but at the same time ideal location for daily trip in all
major cities like Florence or Siena, less than 1 hour driving. Walking
distance to grocery shop.
The cottage is a very inviting prospect for Tuscany holidays. Enjoy
life Tuscan style, in the safe large garden taking full advantage of
the manicured lawns, and of the magnificent view on surrounding hills
and green fields. Sit in the shade of a nice gazebo around the swimming
pool enjoying dinner al fresco. Inside, whilst new, light, airy and all
comfort , including air conditioning the cottage retain character with
beamed ceilings, traditional style flooring. There is also a good sized
swimming pool 5 * 10 ( depth 1,5 m) and a large private and safe
garden. Ideal choice for romantic 'couple' accommodation, for families
with small children. It's conveniently divided on 2 floors that
comunicate from the outside so that could accomodate also 2 families of
friends. Easy acess with not asphalted road 400 mt.
Car is recommended but not necessary to reach grocery shops about 700
mt , restaurant at 4 km , 2 bikes at guest disposal. |

this floor in the living so both bedrooms are kept conditioned)- on
groundfloor the air conditioning is not necessary due to very old walls
that keep the room fresh |

| What
a charming Tuscan place! Ideally located for exploring Tuscany and
Umbria and for visiting all the most fashionable cities: Cortona 18,
Foiano della Chiana km 8, Montepulciano km 20, Perugia and Siena 50 km.
Florence 70, Lake Trasimeno km 25 but at the same time hidden in a
peaceful countryside atmosphere. A mere 1km from a small hamlet with
shops and a restaurant. Cortona - Foiano della Chiana : Approaching
Cortona (494 meters) from the valley floor, one can’t help nohting its
urban form, spread along the slope of the mountain ridge that separates
the Valdichiana from the Valtiberina. The location of the Etruscan city
and its importance, evidenced by the scale of its circuit of walls,
were due to its strategic position within the road network of the
Valdichiana, which was quite fertile even in ancient times. Two major
road axes traversed the Valdichiana, connecting Arezzo with Perugia and
the Valtiberina with the Tyrrhenian coast; Cortona arose precisely
where they crossed.

Sabrina, thank you for a wonderful holiday. Myself and my family had a
great time in the villa. The villa was lovely, very spacious, exactly
as described on the website. However, I must single out the villa
housekeeper, Massimo. Himself and his family were wonderful hosts,
extremely generous with their time (and vegetables!). I would return to
the same place, something I rarely say, and would absolutely recommend

Thanks for our asking, yes, we really had a wonderful time. It was
really great!
Especially Massimo and his family was doing a great job.
The only suggestion to make this nice place even more nicer is to
change the bench on the outside foodplace in to chairs.
So it is more comfortable to sit outside after dinner.
You can see we had a great time, because this is only a slitle comment.
